Catherine Anne
ACatherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4 1954. She is a comedian as well as an actress and writer. O'Hara has won a number awards that include the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award) and two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was made an Officer of Canada. In 2020 , she received the Governor General's Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara was a renowned actress as a member in 1974 of The Second City, an Improvisational comedy troupe based out of Toronto. Alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd as co-stars, she was in the main ensemble of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd began work on Second City Television's sketch comedy program (1976-1984). O'Hara received critical acclaim for her comedic acting and writing skills which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for the Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara, Steve Carell and Dwayne Colbert were included on the Second City artistic board in 2022.
